I upgraded my WSN node with a new firmware using the ADWSN-UI-Tool successfully. But I observed that this device now unable to join the network. Is there something I am missing here? Please provide some help in putting this back into operation.

Please make sure to reconfigure the WSN devices right after upgrading the firmware using the ADWSN-UI-Tool. This is because the device configuration is stored in the flash and it gets erased during firmware upgrade, so user needs to configure the devices.
On a different note, when the firmware is upgraded with IAR IDE, then you won't see this problem, as the IAR IDE updates the code section, retaining the configuration that is already stored on the device.
