Category: Hardware
Product Number: AD9364

Dear support team ,

I'm working on data link design using SDR and this is my first time to use ANALOG DEVICES equipment and i need your help and assist. However while surfing your website i found that AD9364 full fill my requirements  but i need to choose the evaluation board and the carrier board in order to configure and program the transceiver

Is ADRV9364-Z7020  needed to operate AD-FMCOMMS4-EBZ  ? if this wrong please tell my what to buy with pair of AD9364 .

Thank you in advance

  • FMCOMMS4:

The purpose of the AD-FMComms4-EBZ is to provide an RF platform to software developers, system architects, etc, who want a single platform which operates over a much wider tuning range (70 MHz – 6 GHz).

The AD-FMComms4-EBZ board is very similar to the AD-FMComms2-EBZ and AD-FMComms3-EBZ boards with only one exception, rather than the AD9361 (which is 2 Rx, 2 Tx), it uses the AD9364, a lower cost 1 Rx, 1 Tx device. The AD-FMComms4-EBZ includes both types of external baluns, one targeted for wider tuning range applications (Minicircuits TCM1-63AX+), and ones which provide optimized performance for 2.4 GHz.

Carrier boards supported with FMCOMMS 4 board:

    AD9364-Z7020:

The ADRV9364 is built on a portfolio of highly integrated System-On-Module (SOMs) based on the Xilinx Zynq®-7000 All Programmable (AP)SoC. Built on the AD9364, it is schematically & HDL similar to the AD-FMCOMMS4-EBZ.

You can use the ADVR1CRR-FMC with this SOM module.
