my customer is using the ADRV9361-Z7035 SOM in an application that is for critical infrastructure & wants to be sure that he is cooling the device appropriately.
The AD9361 datasheet claims a maximum junction temperature of 110C, and an operating temperature range of -40C – 85C. As the operating temperature range relates to ambient temperature, the customer asserts that this would mean a θj-a of 25C, which would require an airflow higher than what is listed in Table 12 (of AD9361 datasheet) to achieve. I can see that there are other thermal parts for the device.
Is this analysis fair & would you be able to guide what the airflow minimum speed would be for the ADRV9361-z7035 module, which I accept may be different, since it has a greater surface area.
