AD9361 RX performance with Single Ended vs Differential

I (we) have used several of the AD9361's in various designs over the last few years.  Past designs where using baluns to go from a 50 ohm RF trace to a differential signal attempting to best match the input impedance of the AD9361's ports.  We had a design which required compact design which we did not use a balun and ran 50 ohm impedance directly into the AD9361 input.  

With a recent test between two different designs, there was quite a few differences,  none the less we saw equal if not a bit better performance on the CCA we ran single ended into the AD9361.

Does analog devices have performance or data showing the performance benefit of running differential vs single ended?
