I've recently designed a board in which I used the RF Agile Transceiver AD9361. I just learned that AD released a new version of this device, AD9361S-CSL.
I went through the datasheet and to be honest I didn't find major differences apart from the Tx band or perhaps I missed something.
1/ Could you please highlight the differences between the two ? in general.
2/ Are they configurable the same way ? I mean, can we use the AD9361 driver code with the AD9361S CSL ?
3/ The footprint and the pins configuration seem to be the same. Is it really a direct replacement ?
4/ Does Analog Device still recommend the use of AD9361 in new designs? When do you think it will stop being commercialized ?
