Hello. Im using a Pluto board using AD9363. We are using the loopback mode (RF RX > RF TX) and inyecting a tone in 420MHz. Using the original firmware v31, no custom.
So we have a 60db diference between the spurious tone and the main tone. This is okay ?
Also i do a test with the same firmware and Loopback on (Digital TX > Digital RX) , but using the BIST mode (echo 1 0 6 0 > bist_tone) and i have the same spurious:
Also the spurious tones were generated without any signal injected, just in loopback.
Yes it will be there. In order to further reduce them, you need to use external filters or you can frequency plan to make them fall out of your band of interest
What is the frequency of the tone that you are injecting? Are you not getting these spurious at Tx output at other LO's? Are you keeping the RX and TX LO same?
The spur levels looks to be OK and is within specs.
Sorry for the delay, Im using same Frequency for TX/RX LO(420MHz). I was inyecting a tone in 420MHz in the first picture. I change the Frequency Sample from 20MHz to 30.72MHz and i dont have spurious in this frequency area (420-425Mhz). Do you have any idea why ? (I think its because the FIR Prog Rx/Tx isnt Decimating/Interpolating right now.So the SFDR are arround 60dbm ? There's any section in the datasheet to see it ?Thank you for you time.
Looks like you are observing the spurs at integer multiples of the sampling rate. When you changed the sampling rate, still those spurs are there but at different frequencies(You can observe them by increasing the span).
yes, using 30.72MHz i have one spurs in ~ 422.5MHz aprox. This is normal ? there's any way to reduce it ?
