My AD9361 configurations are as below:
1. TDD mode
2. Alert = 1
3. txnrx and Enable(level) by pin control.
I try to do TX/RX stress test and monitor the ENSM state[3:0] by LA, the state seems ok(Tx:5->6->7,Rx:5->8->9).
After over night testing, the TX state is still OK, but RX can't enter RX state(8)
Is there any debug port to check why the ENSM can't enter RX state?
Which hardware and software reference design you are using?
Is the issue you are seeing is intermittent or permanent?
Hardware is AD-FMCOMMS3 and software is Non-OS version.
When the issue happens, it always can't enter to RX state.
The ENSM should go to the RX state using pin control. Please make sure that the TXNRX/ENABLE pins are getting the required voltages when you are leaving it for overnight.
Ｗe have measured the TXNRX/ENABLE when the issue is happening. The voltages should matches the requirement.
We changed the TX/RX frequency at the beginning of the Enable pin is high.
We try to watch the behavior of RX vco synth state.
I configured register 0x035 to 0x1c to monitor the RX syn VCO tuning state by LA.
When the issue is happening, the state will stop and kept at 0.
Is there any clue on this situation?
Since the ENSM is not entering the RX state that is why the RX synVCO tuning state is stuck at zero. Hope you are transitioning the ENSM from TX to RX via alert all the time. What is the reference clock frequency that you are giving? Check that your test setup is consistent
