Hi ad9361 experts:
I have known that setting GPO high or low can control the ELAN gain value to switch between two levels. Is it possible to control one ELNA with 3 different gain values?
Yes, It is possible.
Please refer to "EXTERNAL LNA" section in UG570. Page 49
I read page 49 of UG570, it`s about the control of ELNA between two gain levels. How to control one ELNA with 3 different gain values? Is it possible?
That is not possible. You can enable or disable LNA from gain table using the GPIO pins. You cannot have 3 different values.
A bit in the gain table drives GPO0 for Rx1 and GPO1 for Rx2. Setting this bit to a zero results in a low GPO output level while a one results in a high GPO output level.
If you need 3 different values , you may need to control same from your baseband. May be a combination of GPIO control from baseband and MGC mode .
Thanks a lot for your reply. So if I want control a LNA with 3 gain values, the baseband must supply GPIO to control the LNA in MGC mode, and the GPO of ad9361 itself can not participate in? Thanks
Yes correct, from Gain table only one GPIO per Rx can be controlled.
Thanks a lot. I get it.
