How to achieve low sample rate with AD9361 ?

Hi ,

We are working on Low Data Rate Modem where we are targeting data rate from 32Kbps to 2Mbps with Sample rate Requirements (64Ksps to 4Msps).

we know that AD9361 can reach 520KSPS minimum when HB1+HB2+HB3+FIR Filters are enabled with maximum Decimating factors.

can anyone explain and guide us how to achieve this ?

AD9361 is in 1R1T Mode.

we are using ZC706 + FMCOMMS5 Hardware with 2019_r1 design and NO-OS Software.

we tried using ADI MATLAB Filter design for 520KSPS but we couldn't able to export the coefficients.

MATLAB Version Used is R2021b and ADI filter Wizard V17.2.1 https://github.com/analogdevicesinc/ad936x-filter-wizard/releases.

    The minimum sample rate that is supported by AD9361 is 520Ksps, and hence you need to interpolate the input rate from 64Ksps to more than 520Ksps in to use it with AD9361.

    What is the error that you are seeing when you are generating filter with minimum sample rate? Share with us the snippet of the error. Also, if you increase the sampling rate , are you able to generate the filter and use that in your setup?
