My customer would like to use BIST as a quick functional test. What is the smallest set of SPI writes that can be performed to generate a coarse tone at the output of AD9361? I believe he'll need to configure TX sample rate, the Tx LO frequency, and the BIST register (0x34F).
I'm assuming he can skip all Rx-based register writes (Rx LO is not needed to run BIST in this manner) and there's no need to populate the Tx filters if we don't care about fidelity of the signal, is this correct?
Alternatively - is there a set of minimal SPI writes you can make to prove the chip is powered up and the Tx path has been connected correctly?

We recommend to use ADI provided drivers for configuring the chip.
