ADRV9009 JESD s16p

We are in simulation of JESD204B progress. JESD link is between FPGA (TX) and ADRV9009 (RX). We have all the IBIS-AMI models and package s-parameter files of ADRV9009 and FPGA.

The problem here is the package model of ADRV9009 is s16p and we can not find the document describes these ports are input or output?

Although, we try to setup in 2 cases:

  1. Port 1, 2 are connected to PCB transmission lines and port 3,4 are connected to regenv01_ondie_term.s4pterm.s4p
  2. Port 1, 2 are connected to PCB transmission line and port 9,10 are connected to regenv01_ondie_term.s4pterm.s4p

Based on simulation result, the case 2 seems to be correct setup.

Could you please verify case 2 is correct setup. Or, please let us know what we should do or which document describes about this problem.

    Talise Design package\IBIS AMI has the "ADRV9009 ADRV9008-1 ADRV9008-2 Serializer IBIS AMI Model Package Description 1.0" document.

    This touchstone file is used for the package.  It must be placed between the IBIS AMI model instantiation and the channel in the simulation.  The port descriptions are contained in the comments in the beginning of the file.
