AGC mode in AD9375

Category: Hardware

I am using 4 AD9375 Chips. I want to change few parameters related to AGC mode of AD9375. I have few doubts. Could you please clarify that

1. In this Above Pic what is meant by Interferer?

2. What is the reason for apdHigh Thresh is 3dBFS ( max value)? . Instead of 0dBFS?

3. Is it Okay to Keep -0.5 dBFS as apdHigh Thresh.

  • In this Above Pic what is meant by Interferer?

Automatic gain control (AGC) allows the receivers to autonomously adjust the receiver gain depending on variations of the input signal, such as the onset of a strong interferer overloading the receiver datapath, which can cause the received signal power to increase suddenly. The APD is considered the blocker overload detector because it determines if the received signal is overloading the blocks before the digital chain, including the ADC. This Figure shows the APD response to the presence and removal of such strong interferer.

Is it Okay to Keep -0.5 dBFS as apdHigh Thresh.

Yes you can keep this value..
