9/23/15: Was the 1.5W figure for the 7044 representative of a case using all 14 outputs or a more minimally-configured design?

Thank you for your interest in the HMC7044. The device achieves 1.5W power consumption in the following configuration case. As you have guessed, different configuration options will yield different power numbers. If you have a specific case in mind, please let us know and we can work to estimate the power requirements for the device.

HMC7044 // P=1.45 W

1. All 8xCLKout in LVDS-bias1 => ~25mA per CLKout, 200mA for 8CLKouts
2. Remaining SYSREF outputs are OFF
3. SCLK1 is a copy of CLK0(similar applies to other 6xCLKouts) => Saving 120mA (4x30mA from disabling 4x CLKout dividers)
4. OSCout buffer is disabled => 13mA increase when enabled
