If you have an RF connection on your board, like SMA connectors or the likes, please use those! The main reason I showed the pig tail method is to show a method to instantly improve measurement for systems already in place. I was talking with the Tektronix guys at the PCIM conference a few days ago, lamenting how most probes ship in the rat tail connection as standard. It definitely works for lower current, and lower frequency measurements, but the more precise measurements really need the small loops. A standard RF connector will definitely get you a clean, small measurement loop.
