It looks like the AD4130-8 has the complete signal chain in one chip. When would I use additional signal conditioning in-between the sensor and the AD4130?

For certain applications that have high sensor impedances such as Electromagnetic Flow or pH, buffers such as the ADA4505 or MAX40023 may be required to reduce the input bias currents to picoamp levels and increase input impedance. In other cases when the sensor exhibits high offsets, it may be preferable to add a filtering/gain stage prior to the AD4130. Additionally, if high to low voltage level translation is needed to match up different supply domains, extra signal conditioning would be required.
