That's a great question. AD242x and AD243x devices are 100% compatible so yes, they can reside on the same A2B bus. But just a few additional words of explanation might be helpful. We generally recommend to position high power 243x nodes closest to the main node -- to minimize total system power consumption. And in mixed node systems, the total number of nodes supported on a single daisy chain is 11 -- which is the upper limit for 242x based networks. For this reason, we highly recommend moving completely to a 243x-based network if maximizing node count is a design objective.)
