Functional Safety is important to ensure the system is functional and operating appropriately in response to the inputs especially when dealing with batteries as the failure and mulfunctioning risks involved can be dangerous to the system (ESS, data center etc.) and/or the persons involved. FuSa on a sytem level is achieved by mitigating hazards and achiveing reliability and managing risk in complaince to the required safety standard or allocated SIL.
