Is the monitor mode used for baseband power savings?

Parents
  • Monitor mode is used for the baseband processor power saving but it is also used to save power in the ADRV9002. When the ADRV9002 goes into monitor mode it cycles between sleeping and sniffing for the right receive signal. When it is sleeping the part is in a very low power mode and when its sniffing only the Rx chain and the MCU is awake to determine if the Rx signal is there or not.
So monitor mode saves power in the baseband and also on the part itself.
