You've talked a lot about flexibility and reconfiguration today. We're seeing in the news a lot of manufacturers change out from making beer to sanitizer, for example, or from cars to ventilators. Does this help enable that or is there more to the story?

  • Yes, this does contribute to that. With a flexible I/O based control system you can very quickly adopt your facilities to be configured to produce something completely different to your initial thoughts. In today’s climate, that is really important and we’re seeing a lot of companies pivoting across to doing something they didn’t start their production with, so I think it’s a great opportunity for flexible I/O here.
