There has to be some latency - from camera output to frame grabber input - there has to be buffer and at least copper delay...

You are correct that it cannot be zero latency just taking into account the flight time down the cable. The C2B technology does not use frame buffers and therefore does not introduce this form of latency when compared to other technologies.
