On behalf of Fionn Hurley: We focus on copper and therefore I am not an expert on fiber optic cabling. My understanding is that there is still concerns regarding robustness of this for automotive applications. I know there is activity focusing on PoF for automotive applications which may address some of these concerns. Obviously from a EMC point of view this is an ideal solution but copper links seem to still be the preference of OEM’s.
