MEMS IMUs often serve as feedback sensing elements, within the Guidance Navigation Control (GNC) systems for Autonomous Ground Vehicles (AGV). This session will provide a functional overview of the IMU's role in these systems, with specific emphasis on crucial performance metrics and key funciotns, wihch are often overlooked and under-emphasized, during conceptual and architectural development phases for emerging AGV systems.
Attendees will learn:
- Defining "corner cases," which could to drive requirements for IMU function
- Quantifying system-level impact of IMU behvairos, under complex/dynamic conditions
- Making smart architecture choises, early on.
