Tzeno Galchev Director, Product Marketing & Applications Engineering,

This webinar will present Analog Devices' brand new portfolio of low-power, tri-axial, low-noise, and high-bandwidth sensors. Yes, that sentence has many hyphenated words, but that is only because the ADXL380 and ADXL382 pack a powerful set of capabilities in a very compact form-factor. These 'Swiss Army Knives' of accelerometers offer a massive 85dB dynamic range to tackle problems as far ranging as sensing the vibrations of the voice through bone conduction to help enhance truly-wireless earbuds with better active noise cancelation and keyword detect, 4kHz and 8kHz bandwidth that can help record and measure the tiny vibrations induced by the beating of the heart (seismocardiogrpahy) or air moving through the lungs (lung auscultation), and a full-scale range up to 60 gee to record and analyze machine vibrations and enable predictive maintenance of factory assets  at the right time. The two products operate with very low current consumption (ranging from 30-520 uA) and help improve battery-lifetime.

The webinar will provide an overview of these two products, their features, flexible modes of operation, and tips and tricks on how to use them effectively for different applications.

Attendees will Learn:

  • Overview of new accelerometer products ADXL380 and ADXL382
  • Basic requirements for heart and lung auscultation and why the ADXL380 is a perfect match
  • Essentials of condition-based monitoring and the enabling capability of the ADXL382
  • How to unlock the audio capabilities of the ADXL380 for TWS and other applications
