How does it detect ionized gas if it's strictly optical?

Parents
  • This sensor is not designed to detect ionized gas, but rather the particle sizes found between the blue and IR wavelength range.  The typical fires that ionization technology are good at detecting tend to be the flaming types of fires, but when looking at the test data from our sensor for these same types of fires, the ADPD188BI is very good at picking up these profiles
