Question
Thermal data
Answer
The junction temperature depends on a lot of variables, such as supply voltage
applied, output load, etc etc.
Tj = Ta + theta_ja x Pd
This article explains how to estimate junction temperature.
http://www.analog.com/static/imported-files/tech_articles/MS-2251.pdf. Take a
look at page 4.
Thermal resistance, theta_ja for an 8 lead SOIC is 120C/W.
Looking at the excel spreadsheet that you attached, I think you might be asking
for the abs max rating for junction temperature. For a majority of our
amps/references, they are -65C to 150C.
