At room temperature the number of write cycles will greatly exceed the 50,000 cycles listed on the data sheet. After the memory is exhausted the part will continue to operate as if the memory is static RAM. That is it will stay at a given voltage as long as power is applied, however if the power is interrupted the part will not come back to that voltage on power up.
