It looks like the product markings on these two do not have "LT" in them, just "1431".

The product marking of "1431" is correct, and is the expected top marking for LT1431MPS8#PBF

Regarding MPS8 vs CS8, the two both have the top marking of "1431". To differentiate them, the packaging/labelling that the parts were shipped in should be used.
