LTC1541
Production
The LTC1541/LTC1542 combine a micropower amplifier, comparator and bandgap reference (LTC1541) in an 8-pin package. The part operates from a single 2.5V...

Hi,
About reference output voltage vs load current on page 6 of the datasheet, I have a question about sourcing current and sinking current.
Is it correct that sourcing current is the current flowing into the REF terminal and sinking current is the current flowing out of the REF terminal?
The simulation results in LTspice were the same, but let me check just to be sure.
Regards,
Kazu
Hi Kazu
Yes, you are correct.
Normally the sourcing is specified as the current going out of the part but in this datasheet, sourcing current is the current flowing into the REF terminal and sinking current is the current flowing out of the REF terminal.
The current going out would normally have a negative deviation while the current going in will have a positive deviation; exactly what is shown in the datasheet.
Best regards,
Gio
