LT1790 pin connection

Question

Hi, support team 
 I am trying to replace the MAX6043AAUT41 with the LT1790AIS6-4.096 as it will be discontinued. Does pin 1 of LT1790AIS6-4.096 work with N.C.? Does pin 5 work even if it is shorted with VOUT?

 No, the pin 1 of the LT1790 should be connected to GND and DNC are need to be floating. If not, the part might deviate in specifications and in the worst possible case damage the part.
