ADR4525, ADR130

Hi ,

I am using ADR4525 as a 2.5 V reference and ADR130 as 1V reference .I understand the maximum junction temperatures of these parts cannot exceed 150C but I intend to test at 175C for few days 

The input voltage for ADR130 is 2.5V from ADR4525. When I increase the temperature above 170C , I observed the output of ADR4525 going to 0V. I would like to know if the behaviour is coming from ADR4525 or ADR130

Could you help to answer this ?

    Hi SKandasamy,

    ADR4525 and ADR130 both has an absolute maximum Operating Temperature Range of -40 to +125 DegC. Your application which is 170DegC is well above the maximum rating. As noted in the Absolute Maximum Rating page :


    "Stresses at or above those listed under Absolute Maximum Ratings may cause permanent damage to the product. This is a stress rating only; functional operation above those indicated in the operational section of this specification is not implied. Operation beyond the maximum operating conditions for extended periods may affect product reliability."


    This just mean that in your application we can't say which is which because the devices are specified only -40 to +125DegC. By operating beyond this point, we are not sure what changes will happen on the device.

    If you are looking for a high temperature Voltage Reference that will work on 170DegC we have ADR225 and LT6654BX.
