ADV7611 in dual link mode

I have following queries on ADV7611:

1. I need to know if AD7611  can be used in dual link mode, with one ADV7611 receiving even/odd pixel and second ADV7611 receiving odd pixels.User guide for the part mentions dual link mode (REFER ADI UG-180, pg 38). Please share the details of the solution where this is incorporated

2. ADV7611 has in-built equalizer, as per the datasheet. Can you share more specifications on the equalizer part?

Regards,

  • Hi Jyoti,

    1) ADV7611 has no direct support at all for dual link mode aside from that mention which is only about HDCP. You would need to buffer and send the same clock to 2 different ADV7611 and then do something with the outputs to merge them to make dual link work.  There are customers who have done this but there is no special functionality in ADV7611 to support it.

    2) All the scripts and recommended settings document contain EQ settings that are characterized to have the best performance across the widest range of conditions. We don't currently offer any more documentation on the EQ than is in the HW Guide as we don't currently support customizing the EQ settings. This could change in the future, but that is the case at the moment.
