Hi Dave,
Thanks for your help. They're definitely are a HDCP adapter ( a big CE manufacturer ), but don't know what to do. They need our suggestions.
Toshi
Hi Toshi,
I'll check-- they would need to buy keys and put them in the ROM. Do they already have keys and are asking for the format or something else?
Dave
Hi Toshi,
Is there some reason this customer is not using ADV7610? It has internal keys.
Support for AD9393 is going to be very limited because it's a very old part. I strongly urge that the customer use ADV7610 instead.
I'm told the process for programming an EEPROM is the same as what was needed for AD9880 but it will take some time to find the documentation and software for this.
Dave
Hi Dave,
Thanks for your message. Indeed use of AD9393 is just for the 1st prototyping. The customer developed the hardware without knowing ADV7610. They will switch to ADV7610 on the next prototyping. They want to know how to setup the HDCP enabled hardware with AD9393 until then.
Toshi
Hi Toshi,
I'm afraid the tools to put the keys into the right format for the EEPROM are not actually available anymore so there isn't any way to use AD9393 with HDCP.
Dave
Hi Dave,
OK. I will ask the customer to use ADV7610/11 next, if they want to enable HDCP in their system.
Toshi
Hi Toshi,
Thanks-- sorry the product page isn't more clear. It's in queue to be resolved.
