I'm not aware of any video decoders that could handle that input signal but I can ask around. ADV7202 is on last time buy status and it's not clear it could do this even if it was available.

Hank posted this question for me following a message to tech support.   Have you had a chance to look into the options we have for processing this signal?  Ideally I'm looking for an IC that can handle it, but I might even consider other hardware like VPX boards, codecs, etc.  We are looking for a way to feed an FPGA in order to modify the content.

Also looking for any hardware whatsoever that can generate such as signal for our testbed.

Hi Josh,

I have heard what you are talking called "extended composite" before and it was looked at but never supported by any of our parts. I think you'd probably need to use a sufficiently high speed A/D and then a DSP or FPGA to implement the decode. We make lots of high speed A/Ds though I'm not an expert on which one would be best. I imagine one of our Blackfins or Sharcs could decode the digital signal.  I haven't heard of anyone doing this though so I'm not sure what else to suggest.
