(ADV7390/1)Does ADV7390/1 supports ED-SDR 8bits 54MHz?

I have some questions about ADV739*.

(1)=========================================================

I want to input BT.656 ED(525p)-SDR 54MHz 8bit(not 16bit) to ADV739*.

Does ADV7390/1 support that Video-format?

Or must I use ADV7392/3?

At the data sheet P7(Table4),

it says that the spec is

SD/ED 27MHz

ED(at 54MHz)

I think this means , ADV739* supports

SD-SDR 27MHz

SD-DDR 27MHz

ED-SDR 27MHz

ED-DDR 27MHz

ED-SDR 54MHz

and the point is ED-DDR 54MHz is not support.

Is my understanding is correct?

by only ADV7392/3 because the ADV7390/1 can support 8bit input.

If I input the ED video support(which is supported by the devices),

is there any different signal process and output signal?

I want to understand what is the differnce between ADV7390/1 and ADV7392/3 besides Macrovision.

    1) There is no ED-DDR at 54Mhz anyway. ED-DDR at 54Mhz makes no sense-- that would mean a format with a pixel clock of 108Mhz. What I think you are talking about is what we are calling ED-SDR (54Mhz)-- 8bit components interleaved with 1 component per clock at 2x the real clock rate. What I think you want to do is supported.

    ED-DDR 27Mhz and ED-SDR 54Mhz are basically the same thing, only one is a 27Mhz clock and you sample on both edges and the other is a 54Mhz clock and you sample on only one edge.

    2) Correct

    3) ED-HD-SDR is a 16-bit wide interface with components in parallel with one pixel (2 components) per clock.

    ED at 54Mhz is an 8-bit wide interface with 8-bit components interleaved at 2x the pixel clock.

    4) There is no difference in the parts in terms of that format support, it's only that the video bus is 8-bit versus 16-bit.

    5) It's only the video bus size and macrovision that is different.

    I have two questions again.

    3)

    At your answer ,ED(54MHz) is 8-bit, but at the data sheet Figure10 and 11 said ,

    the device can support 8bit or 10bit .

    With my understanding , it is not important if the input is 8-bit or 10-bit.

    The point is the input-format.

    So, if I want to use 8bit-Input , I can choose ADV7390/1

    but if I want to use 10bit-Input, I have to choose ADV7392/3.

    Is my understanding is correct?

    With your answer and form the data sheet,

    I understood that ADV7390/1 can support BT.656 and BTA-1004 with 54MHz-SDR(8bit).

    If I want to use these formats ,only I have to do is select the right register(0x30).

    If I want to use BTA-1004 , I think I have to choose

    0x30 = 00010

    And if I want to use BT.656 which register should I choose?

    3) Yes-- 8-bit or 10-bit doesn't matter if there are enough pins. Your understanding is correct.

    4) The default for SMPTE 293M is what you would pick-- 0

    And also I am searching the Configuration Scripts with using ED-SDR 54MHz(BT656 or BTA-T-1004).

    And from Table.63 to 131, there is no example using ED-SDR 54MHz 8-bit.

    Can you show me the example Scripts using ED-SDR 54MHz 8-bit?

    I would really appreciate if you don't mind to teach me about this.
