"Only use plain FTP (insecure)" allows FileZilla to work with our FTP server.

Thanks Guenter. This worked but I had to create a new site and set it as follows:

Host to ftp.analog.com

Encryption to Only use plain FTP (insecure)

Logon Type to Ask for Password

User to encoders

Once I clicked on Connect I was prompted for the password.

Thanks for updating this.  My second post was the information from the first post after I realized you didn't have access to the first post link.

Guenter, this needs to be fixed. The entire process of accessing the software needs to be fixed. It's too difficult and the EVB instructions don't match all the steps that must be taken. It should be a simple click on a hyperlink or not much more.

The link I posted when to a private forum which not everyone has access to.  The fix is to documentation how to set up Filezilla.  I'll talk to MattP about this when he comes in.  Sorry about this.  Something probably broke when we changed the web servers over to the new web pages.

It is still not fixed after ~6 months.

I had to search for this thread and it took quite a long time.

Only after going over all your posts till this one I could download the SW, and I'm using EZone for a few years.

As my customer wrote," it isn't right to sell an eval kit without the ability to use it out of the box, or download the required SW from a link".

Please also pass to Matt that even after downloading & installing the SW there are problems.

We cannot find the required ADV Register Control  per instructions

Please advise how to proceed.

I agree, The Out of Box Experience with downloading the older software is a bit of a pain.  We are moving away from this model and using immediate downloads via zip files and such.  I'll talk with Matt again about documenting how to access the FTP site and possibly posting it in the 'Read First' page for video design support.
