I'm using ADV7611 and AD9889B in my system now,I head that the AD9889B is so old that you suggest us don't use it in our new design,do you have some new HDMI transmitter to replace AD9889B?pin-to-pin is the best!
I found that ADV7611 can't receive 1080P60 sometimes,and you strongly suggest us to change paramters of EQ in ADV7611,But I don't know how to change it can be better,would you please give some suggestions?
Or you have some other chip to replace it and that can be work automaticlly good no matter long or short HDMI lines?
Do you have one of our evaluation board?
How do you configure the board either through script or through software driver?
Did you verify the problem in our evaluation board for comparison of results?
Regarding the transmitter recommended for new design is ADV7513 (ADV7513 Datasheet and Product Info | Analog Devices). As per product page says “For pinouts, the information would have to be retrieved from hardware manual and compared”
I'm using FPGA to cofigure ADV7611 by I2C interface,Can ADV7611 receive a 1080P60 video from a long line(15 metres or longer) by defult paramters of EQ?
You suggest us to manually control EQ paramters to deal with incoming video,But there two paramters(main) in your datasheet,two bytes meaning 256*256 combinations,So I don't know how to adjust these two bytes's value to set it statble.
I don't have your evaluation board,I've checked the noise of the power for ADV7611,it's about 60mv(vpp),I think that it's OK for ADV7611.
By the way,I found that the value of 620ohm for SW contrl resistor is a better choice for AD9889B on our board,That value is 887ohm only in your datasheet,I don't why.
I've put ADV7611 and AD9889B in my new design for the first version,I'll consider using some new chips of ADI's for the later version.
Regarding your first question, I believe it would support 1080p60 video if you use a HDMI cable of a standard length ( somewhere in the range of 1 meter to 30 meters). Also for the EQ parameters, have you referred the recommended settings document 2.2.5 section which describes the equalizer settings as per the supported maximum resolution. The link Jeyasudha pointed to has the best information regarding long cable. Keep in mind HDMI specifications do not limit the length but only specify the cable impedance so to run 30 meters you will need a high quality cable and some 30 meters cable I've seen have repeaters at the half way point.
