I am evaluating the pair of MAX96717 + MAX96716A to replace a series of flat cables between an ARM SoC and a remote imaging and sensing units (2x SPI IMUs, 2x I2C Compass). The IMUs have a relatively high data rate over SPI-- 20 bytes per reading, 1khz, 2khz, up to 8khz ODR. I would like some assurance before I continue down this path, that this would be a supported/recommended use case. I've understood that the various I2C devices shouldn't be any issue, but I'm concerned about the SPI devices.
Any ideas?
