Hi,
Please make sure whether you have converted to progressive before you displaying the output.
If your input is interlaced video, without conversation if you displaying an interlace video into an progressive sink, you will get a double image.
And also check your schematic with reference.
Also make sure the input does not have reflections. Reflections can be caused by layout and impedance mis-matches.
Please look at here https://www.linuxtv.org/downloads/legacy/video4linux/API/V4L2_API/spec-single/v4l2.html#field-order
Note: Due to impedence mis-match in video path may cause the shadowing/Ghosting of image. Check the layout to make sure the 75 Ohm resistor is very close to the connector and the ADV7282 is very close to the 75 Ohm resistor. Check the board impedance is correct. Also verify the connect/source path is 75 Ohm compliant.
Ghosting of this type is almost always in the analog domain. Usually caused by impedance mis-match in the analog path. The cable will be 75 Ohms while the board will be 50 Ohms. This mis-match causes reflections exhibiting ghosting in the video.
Also ensure with XTAL clock - 28.63636 MHz

Hello,
Currently we are not using ADV7282A-M in our hardware.
Current hardware includes other manufacturer video decoder which give interlaced output.
We do not want to deinterlace the video on MCU or MPU side.
So if we use ADV7282A-M that according to the datasheet the IC has integrated deinterlacing, can we get single (progressive) image directly?
Best regards,
Hi,

Yes it can give single progressive image after enabling deinterlacing. Please refer below snap to enable I2P in ADV7282-M.

Thanks,
