Need help to setup eval-adv7612-7511p board

Hi,

   Please let us know your source and sink device ?

   If your source is consumer device (By default all consumer devices like player will send encrypted content) then its not possible to output video in P part board (ADV7612-ADV7511P )

   Please check with other source device like Generator/Equipment's (Most professional signal generators such as Quantum Data, AstroDesign, Murideo) and let us know the result.

   Kindly note that,  -P parts have no keys and cannot be used with consumer products (Encrypted Sources).

Thanks for the response! 
I am aware that -P parts do not support HDCP protection. Because of it I choose Steamdeck as it can output video without encryption. 

Am I correct that the Raspberry Pi Zero also produce a signal without the HDCP protection? 

Can you suggest which i2c registers of ADV7612 I can read to verify that the signal input is not encrypted?

But what I found strange - the register values remain the same, even if nothing is connected into the HDMI port. 
the only difference by register 0x21 when nothing is connected it is 0 , 
and when the Steamdeck is connected it is 4

Hi,

 In order to investigate the issue, Please use a source device that supports only an HDMI interface (for example QD,ASTRO...) and let us know the result.

 Then start giving command using teraterm console "startrep/ hdmia/ hdmib/ reprun".

I don't have any of the source devices mentioned in you answer. Would RPI PI work? It is known that it has no HDMI protection.

Please check using the Raspberry Pi source. If possible, Share your debug log .

Also kindly let us know if the Raspberry Pi supports a direct HDMI interface instead of using some HDMI convertor between RPI and board ?

  We did not encounter any issues while evaluating with the 'Raspberry Pi 4' model using our ADV7611 P-ADV7511 evaluation board. Please refer attached image for reference.

thanks for sharing the pictures.

I have noticed that my board looks totally different from yours. I have attached a picture of my board too.
I can read / write via USB-CDC I2C values, my macbook detects the board as a sink and can output non-hdcp content to it, but it always hangs on HS lock when I issue startrep command. It also doesn't matter what source I use. I assume my board is somehow damaged and not working properly. 
Can you suggest some base set of commands to verify that ADV7612 chip is fully operational (not partially broken) ?

  Please crosscheck your jumper settings according to this userguide https://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/user-guides/ug-295.pdf

  Also try to run commands using UART instead of USB and let us know.

  In order to validate the Rx part, Are you able to generate freerun output (i.e Connect Tx cable alone and disconnect Rx cable) ?
