Question about the rated voltage of the ADV7513

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: ADV7513

Hello

I have a question about the ADV7513.

Is it okay to apply a voltage such as 3.3V to the Digital Input/Audio/Video Input when the ADV7513 is not powered on?

Basically, I don't think there's a problem because it's not written as VDD+0.3V, but I'd like to confirm just to be sure.

I'd appreciate a reply.

Best Regards,

  • Hi,

Kindly note that, Applying 3.3V to inputs before Power-up is within the absolute maximum ratings should not damage the ADV7513, but it is not recommended due to the risk of back feeding through internal protection diodes and initialization issues. If unavoidable, use series resistors and check for unexpected behavior.

Note: If 3.3V is applied to an input while the ADV7513 is unpowered, small leakage currents can flow through internal ESD protection diodes into the power rails.
It may also affect other components sharing the same power rail.

    Thanks,

    Poornima
