Hi,
We are designing our custom board with ADV7282AWBCPZ-M. Kindly clarify the below queries.
This is the Summary:
This is reference I used to design the custom board with ADV7282AWBCPZ-M [Please find the attached Pdf file]
- I removed the entire USB page (please refer to the diagram in reference pdf). Instead, I provided a two-pin header for both SDA and SCLK. This will be used for flashing the ADV7282AWBCPZ-M from an external host like an Arduino or Raspberry Pi. Please confirm whether this is sufficient for flashing the ADV7282AWBCPZ-M or if an EEPROM or external flash is required.
- I also noticed that the reference design for the ADV7282AWBCPZ-M does not follow a power sequence for the reset and power-down functions (for the reset pin, they provide a physical switch, and for power down, they simply connect it to a high signal through a 4.7K resistor and to ground through a 0-ohm resistor). Should I use that circuit for the reset and power-down functions, or should I use the one I’ve attached below?
- Regarding the DIAG pin, I made the connection as shown below and connected DIAG1 and DIAG2 to the DIAG pins of the ADV7282AWBCPZ-M. Kindly confirm this. (Our input signals are single-ended.)
- For the power sequence: We have a 3.3V rail, and the 1.8V rail powers up after it. Please confirm if this sequence is correct for the ADV7282AWBCPZ-M, and for the reset and power-down sequence, please refer to point 2.
- How do I program the ADV7282AWBCPZ-M with an external I2C master? Does it require any specific software, driver, or script? Could you share any documentation or instructions on how to flash the new ICs with an external master? Or, can I follow the same procedure as your evaluation board?
