HDMI 720*480p60 to RS170 Video

Category: Hardware

Hi

I have a synthetic video consisting of several dynamic symbols generated by the iMX8 processor.

The iMX8 produces the video in HDMI format with a resolution of 720*480p60.

I need to convert this HDMI video with progressive frames to RS170 video which is 640*480 interlaced.

how can I do that?

Thank you,

Yehuda Fryd

  • Hi,

ADV8005 is the only part which can support P to I conversation.

ADV8003/8005 can convert HDMI progressive to interlaced with RS170 video output support .Please try setting the SD Burst and SD Chroma =1 for disabling the color burst. Since it is an NTSC without color.

BURST_CONTROL(0xE484)  -  This bit is used to enable the SD burst test pattern.           1 - Disabled,  0 - Enabled.
CHROMA_CONTROL(0xE484) -  This bit is used to control SD chroma. 0 - Chroma enabled, 1 - Chroma disabled.
Kindly note that, ADV739x/ADV734x can support RS-170 standard but it doesn't do P to I conversation
    Thanks,

  • Thank you for your reply and I am sorry it took me so long to respond.

I now understand that the ADV8005 can support P to I  - it is not written in the Data Sheet.

Our application requires an industrial temperature range (-40 to +85).

Is it possible to purchase a component that can withstand the industrial temperature range?

    Thank you in advance

  • Hi,

ADV739x/ADV734x can support RS-170 standard but it doesn't do 'P to I' conversation but 'ADV739x/ADV734x' can support industrial grade temperature range. Kindly refer below snap for reference
