[Solution Survey] HDMI Transmitter IC (RGB 888 to HDMI)

Hi,

The receiver device is TI – AM3352.

We want to double check if format is matching to each other.

When I checked 7513 H/W manual, I can only see RGB 444 format, I am not if this is a typo because datasheet mentioned RGB 888. Please kindly help verify this, thanks!

Hi,

   Kindly note that, We can support RGB888 within the bandwidth of the ADV7513 part in terms of pixel clocks. ADV7513 is capable of supporting input data rate upto 165Mhz.

Ch:1 input :1 output

   It can support Pixel input to HDMI output.

 Industrial grade:

   It can be specified over the "−25°C to +85°C" temperature range.

 I2C Serial Interface/3.3V:

 ADV7513 can support 3.3 V and I2C serial interface.

Thanks for the detail feedback. Just one quick question, may I learn from you how it was calculated turns out ADV7513 bandwidth not being able to support 1024*768*60 frame? Thanks!

Hi,

Generally, pixel clock is calculated as : 

   Pixel clock = Horizontal total pixels * Vertical total pixels * Vertical Frequency.

 For example: 1920x1080p60 resolution -> "2200 x1125x 60 = 148.5 MHZ"

Kindly note that, ADV7513 doesn't really care what the input format is as long as it don't exceed the pixel clock limits.

Hi Andrew,

I think you are trying to transmit RGB444 8-bit. Is that correct?

What temperature range are you looking for?

ADV7511 supports 0 deg C to 70 deg C.

ADV7513 supports -25 deg C to 85 deg C.

ADV7511W supports -40 deg C to 105 deg C.

All of these products can transmit RGB444 8-bit over HDMI.

The temp need is 85C to -40C, really appreciate for the reminding! It looks like I can only choose 7511W for customer. May I know if customer must use RGB888, neither those parts could be used, is it correct? Thanks!
