Does the ADV7511 supports interlaced video format. There is not field option.
Hi,
A trivia fact: the 7511 can operate below the 20MHz limit, ie 13.5MHz but the monitor may have problems working with it. We have some monitors that work fine with HDMI clocks of 13.5MHz and some don't.
Thanks,

Hi,
Thanks for the information.
But for Interlaced Video do we have to specifically configure any registers. Currently we are configuring below registers which worked for Progressive video
Register Value
0x41 0x80
0x98 0x03
0x9A 0x70
0x9C 0x30
0x9D 0x61
0xA2 0xA4
0xA3 0xA4
0xE0 0xD0
0xF9 0x00
0x15 0x01
0x16 0x38
0x17 0x00
0x18 0xC6
0x40 0x80
0x4C 0x04
0x48 0x08
0x55 0x20
And for interlaced there is mainly mention of DE embedded sync generation register.
Thanks.
Hi,
By using 0x3C[5:0] register, the VIC can be programmed including interlaced format.

Hi,
We tried with configuring the register, but it is not working.
We are trying for STANAG-B format (416 * 575) resolution. We used VTC IP for generating the Active_Video_out, hsync and vsync for HDMI signals.
Field frequency is 50Hz and Frame frequency is 25Hz.
We are providing the clock as 16Mhz to HDMI.
Thanks
Hi,
Kindly note that, Its not possible to support 'STANAG' over ADV7511 chipset .
Try to check the same with 'ADV7180' as an A/D and ADV734X or ADV739X as a D/A convertor.
Also note that, It's not possible to transmit 16Mhz clock in HDMI interface, the Spec says the TMDS clock must be greater than or equal to 20MHz.
In order to support that format, We need to do pixel repetition (PR) to get the TMDS clock rate above the 20MHz limit.
Thanks,
Poornima
