Does the ADV7611 support PAL 720x576 (HS=15625Hz, VS=50Hz, LLC=27MHz) ?

Hi,
I connect ADV7611 input to a HMDI port, and connect it's RGB output to ADV7341.

by this setup I want convert HDMI input to PAL CVBS at output.

HDMI signal 720x576 @ 50Hz --> [ADV7611] -RGB,HS,VS,LLC -> [ADV7341]--> PAL CVBS

but at output of ADV7611 HS (Horizontal Sync) and VS (Vertical Sync) not generate at correct frequencies. as a result of output video not Horizontally/Vertically synced.

I expect HS = 15625Hz , VS = 50 Hz generate by ADV7611 for ADV7341, but Does not work correct!


Does the ADV7611 support this mode? And how to configure its registers ?

      Kindly note that, the pixels for the "720(1440)x480i@59.94/60Hz, 720(1440)x240p@59.94/60Hz, 720(1440)x576i@50Hz, and 720(1440)x288p@50Hz" Video Formats are double clocked to meet minimum speed requirements of the interface, so we need to change the H active as 1440 instead of 720 and transmit accordingly from the source device.

    Note: Spec says the TMDS clock must be greater than or equal to 20MHz. To do this HDMI logic will do pixel repetition (PR) to get the TMDS clock rate above the 20MHz limit.  The pixel repetition information is transported in the AVI Infoframe.The sink will drop extra pixel to get back to the correct pixel rate.

    I didn't set the EDID registers and as a result, adv7611 offered three options for setting the resolution. (720x480, 720x526 and --I foget it--).

    I chose the 720x526 configuration. And option 1440 was not among the options.
    I didn't set the EDID registers and they are the same as the initial values. Is it necessary to set these values ​​in EDID?
    I used ADV7611-VER.3.0c.txt file settings. Of course, without applying the recommended values ​​for EDID.

    I don't have the document you screenshotted. If possible, introduce the document you are using.

    I set the resolution value for 720x576@50Hz with the following command:

      Instead of changing EDID, Could you please try the below setting at source device (select '720x576i' format and change pixel repetition factor) and let us know the result about it.

    I connected the ADV7611 to the HDMI output of the Linux System. So I can't generate any HDMI signal format. I just choose one of the options offered by the ADV7611.

    in default mode, the ADV7611 provides  only four options, which are based on default EDID of the ADV7611.

    and output of the ADV7341 is not synced. because the ADV7611 can't generate a HS=15625Hz and VS= 50Hz.

    I changed the EDID values to add 1440x576 but still the output was not sync.

      Please let me know, None of the formats working from your end ?

      Instead of changing the EDID Kindly check with generator (Quantum Data/Astro) since these device doesn't consider EDID.

    When I set ADV7611 on 720x576 with LLC = 27 Mhz, ADV7341 make a CVBS recognizable video, but without Horizontal/Vertical sync, because the ADV7611 can't generate correct HS/VS signal for ADV7341.

      Kindly note that, ADV7611 does not change any timing.  What goes in is what comes out.  The most it can do is change the sync pulse widths or position in relationship to the active Video but it doesn't change the timing. 

      If possible, Please share your I2C register configuration.

      Also kindly reload the "CVBS Video at output of ADV7341:" image.

    Note: TMDS input contains VS, HS and DE timing information. ADV7611 extract these timing signals and basically passes them to the output. The chip can move the position of these signals but not change the timing or add jitter
