Evaluation Board link incorrect for ADV7282A (-M is correct)

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: ADV7282A

On the page https://www.analog.com/en/resources/evaluation-hardware-and-software/evaluation-boards-kits/eval-adv7282a.html for the ADV7282A Evaluation Boards, the links for the schematic and board outline are for the ADV7282A-M model of the chip, not the ADV7282A. I previously had a discussion with support and this is where I was directed to raise this issue. The links are identical to the ones for the EVAL-ADV7282A-M page when they should be different since the output configuration is not the same.

  • Hi,

I am checking with the expert team for updates . We will get back to you once our expert team find the right solution.

    Thanks,

  • Hi,

ADV7282A has the same pin-out as like ADV7282 and its software also compatible with the ADV7282.

    No Title (analog.com)

    Thanks,

  • This is useful, and the software and pinout compatibility with the previous EOL chips is mentioned at every opportunity, but the links for the ADV7282A evaluation board are still incorrect. The output format for the ADV7282A (LLC, BT.656, etc) is not the same as the MIPI CSI-2 of the 7282A-M (which is linked from the page mentioned in my original post). Additionally, the schematic for the ADV7282 is largely but not exactly the same, as the crystal is now 28.63636, and likely other small changes that I am not aware of.

If the original schematic and layout for the EVAL-ADV7282A can be located, please have the links on the product page corrected. I am already going to use the ADV7282A in my projects and the datasheets have been very helpful.

  • Hi,

Kindly note that, the only differences between the ADV728x parts and the ADV728xA parts are as follows, So until ADV7282A product page update could you please refer ADV7282 schematic at '4188.adv7281-7282_32ebz_b.pdf'
             -- crystal circuit
             -- Silicon revision ID

Note: ADV728xA parts have been released to offer increased support for external crystal oscillators. The new products are recommended and should be adopted in your customer's next design cycles for maximum robustness. The parts are software and pin-out compatible with the existing devices.
The silicon revision ID was updated to differentiate between the different version of ADV728x and ADV728xA.

    Thanks,

    Poornima
