Composite video is jumping vertically when we playback the captured video

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: ADV7401

Hi,

we have captured the PAL camera input through ADV7401 and we playback the captured camera input the video was jumping vertically.

when we do playback frame by frame, it is observed that there is difference between odd fields and even fields in the start of frame and end of frame.

Hence, we request you to suggest any register parameter setting for synchronizing between odd fields and even fields or any way out from your end.

  • Hi,

Normally we advise customers to use script as written since they have been proven on our reference boards

We also suggested you do a full TDR measurement to verify 100R impedance of the TMDS traces

Please check with reference schematic, Please follow the basic circuits and layouts as per reference designs.

Also, power rails can affect the output images. PVDD is very important maintaining the Video stability (PVDD is most sensitive to noise).
As per expert comment, PVDD is very important for maintaining the Video stability.
