Hi,
Please refer the document GettingstartedwithAVES.pdf at Advantiv Video Evaluation Software (AVESBlue).
This pdf will give the details about how to connect the AVES with Eval board.
If you are planning to connect to the evaluation board using a serial port then the appropriate driver for the USB to serial adapter must be installed. AVES verifies that is connected to the target through a special command sequence.
And connect a RS232 cable directly to the board and select Advantiv Serial in the connection window. The program will search all COM ports for the right response.

Hello,
Where can I find the USB to serial adapter drivers?
I have installed the SDP drivers. When I try to use the SDP Plugin, its looks like the EVAL-ADV7613 are custom. However, I do not have the number that needs to be input that corresponds with the EVAL-ADV7613.
Could you kindly give me the number for the input where the arrow is pointing at.
Also, maybe I am supposed to be using a Blackfin LDR, I don't not have the ldr file for the EVAL-ADV7613 though, is there a place I can find it?
Thanks,

Hi,
Please see ADV7613 design support files at this link: ADV7613 Design Support Files .
Please download and install XRC, and follow the evaluation board user guide https://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/user-guides/EVAL-ADV7613FEBZ-UG-946.pdf to connect to ADV7613 eval board.
Please let us know if you have any more issues after following the above steps.
Thanks,
Bryan
Hi again,
I also tested connecting with AVES Blue, and the 'Mondello 6065780500000001' option is working for me in the lab.
If this option works for you, please use AVES Blue instead of XRC, as XRC has not been supported for some time.
Best regards,
Bryan
When using the "Mondello 6065780500000001" option are you connected to the EVAL-BAORD using the USB Port found at P3?
Yes, connected via the USB port P3.
Make sure you have installed the SDP drivers.
Are you still unable to connect?
Best regards,
Bryan
Yes, I am still unable to connect. I am getting this error message.
Thanks in advance for your help,

Hi,
I have attached a zip file. Inside is a file called 'sdpApi1.dll'.
There is a file with the same name located in the folder where AvesBlue is installed. For me, this is ''C:\Program Files (x86)\Analog Devices\AvesBlue\"
Could you please try replacing the file in that location with the one in the attached zip file?
I had to replace this file on my version of Aves when connecting to some other analog device boards with SDP chips so it might help here too.
Many thanks,
Bryan
sdpApi1.zip
I have replaced the file however I still cannot connect. When I open XRC I get this:
So, I am assuming I have the correct drivers. On AVES Blue using Mondello 6065780500000001 I have no luck.
Hi,
Great that the SDP is connecting in XRC.
If it is working with XRC then it should work with AVES also.. did you make sure to close and re-open AVES after replacing the dll file?
Best regards,
Bryan
Hello,
Everything is working fine now.
Thanks for the help,
