Register map differences of ADV8005 and ADV8003

Question

Hi

We are changing design from ADV8003 to ADV8005.
Please let me know below.
・If REF_CLK, REF_HS, REF_VS of ADV8005 is No Connect, will the IC not work?
・is ADV8003 same with ADV8005 register map that except Tx1 CEC Map (0xF000 to xF0FF) and Tx2 CEC Map (0xF800 to xF8FF) of ADV8003 register map?

Hi, 
 ADV8005 can directly replace the ADV8003 in layouts. We have already done this on several of our boards. The ADV8003 can only handle 1Gbit SDRAM while the ADV8005 can handle 2Gbit parts, therefore leading to the slight difference in AA8 pin definition. 
 I have attached a document link that describes the differences between ADV8003 and ADV8005.

 And please note, UG-707 Appendix B has an incorrect description of what to do with the pins. So, please refer to the datasheet.
