We want to drive one XGA [1024 X 768 ] monitor with analog R,G,B + Hsync and Vsync signals as input.
My processor can generate 24bit RGB [ 8 bit each R,G,B] data [resolution 1024 x 768] + Vsync + Hsync + Clk out signal [ 0 to 165Mhz] ,
I want to confirm if I can generate Analog R,G,B with resolution [ 1024 x 768 ] + Vsync + Hsync signals using the 24 bit RGB input which I mentioned earlier using ADV7340/7341 Video converter chips.
It will also be helpful , if AD support Engineer can suggest me any alternative component which will fulfil my requirement.
I'd recommend the ADV7341 unless you are a Macrovision adopter.
Since you are spec'ing a 24 bit RGB bus as input the ADV7341 would be the best bet. If you were outputting YCbCr 16-bit I'd look at the ADV749x series.
You can think of the ADV7341 as a triple DAC with the ability to overlay the sync signaling on the analog outputs.
From your diagram HS and VS will not come from the ADV7341 but direct from the processor. Normally syncs are part of the green channel. The ADV7341 does not output separate sync signals.
When outputing component RGB use DACs 1,2 & 3.
